This update has been a long time coming.
I kept sitting down to write this but there was always one piece of information I convinced myself I needed to wait for…one more item I needed to confirm before I committed an update to digital bits and sent it out for the world to see. If I’m being honest, I think I was just scared that this wasn’t going to happen; I still can’t quite believe that I have a novel coming out. But I do. It’s real. It’s happening and I’ve held the book in my hand.
No turning back now.
I’m sure most of you know that 3point8 is an intensely personal project for me; one that wasn’t fun to write. Unlike my other novels, it wasn’t a joy to imagine, create and craft. I’d give anything to never have been inspired to write it but I am proud that my first published work is one that means so much to me.
So, what’s the latest on the book? It’s almost here. In fact, if you preordered it, you should be getting it this month. If you didn’t preorder it then it will be available to purchase this month (both in physical and eBook versions) on Amazon.
In the meantime, I wanted to show you the final cover, designed by the immensely talented Bryce Reyes (brycereyes.com) who I’m lucky enough to be friends with and to work with at PlainJoe Studios. Bryce did a fantastic job of pulling a lot of the story and conflict into the cover and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Oh, and the book is now up on GoodReads! If you have an account and feel inclined to help me out, add it to your “to-read” list:
Thanks again to everyone who preordered the book or sent me their encouragement as I worked on it…this project has only been possible because of you.
